Fire on cargo ship in the port of Hamburg - steering position burns out

There was a fire on a cargo ship at Holthusenkai in the port of Hamburg on Wednesday evening. Shortly after 7 pm, the fire broke out in the cab. According to the police, the reason for this was a technical defect. The three crew members escaped to safety and were uninjured.

Also a dog that was on board. The ship's helm completely burned out. The fire brigade prevented further spread. The freighter was mainly loaded with washing machines - dangerous goods were not included.
